As a normal teenage girl I tried all the makeup , hair style looks. I went from a chav, goth, scene , girly you name it. Even though I was glad to go through the differences , my skin and hair suffered terribly.
After years of treatments , I have got my hair into a healthy condition which I'm proud of and no one can tell I went through so many changes. I was 14 when I first dyed my hair and I was in love with the process and you could say addicted. It was an obsession that I would dye my hair nearly every weekend to match my style, that could be bleach blonde to match my chav style too jet black for my goth stages. It cost my parents a lot which I am ashamed to say. It was a never ending cycle and I was never happy with it which made me dye it more, I wanted the perfect hair, the perfect color which would be impossible on dark rooted hair or any hair in fact.
6 years later , I'm finally happy with my hair and often get complimented about it.
My routine I wash my hair every other day using Loreal thickness Shampoo and conditioner. Finding the right shampoo for your hair is very important , for example using "for dry hair" on greasy hair just doesn't work and will make your hair more greasy. It seems really simple but I was using wrong shampoos.
The only heat I use on my hair is the hair dyer. I occasionally use curlers , maybe 5 times a year. I don't think I suit curly hair but sometimes I do feel like a change. I crimp my hair sometimes too , but I use a lot of heat protection.
I brush my hair throughout the day. Because my hair is so long it gets so tangled and messy. My granddad calls me tatty head! I always carry a tangle teaser with me.
I dye my hair every 2 months. I only do this because of my roots, I am so used to ginger hair (and currently ombre) My hair doesn't feel damaged and feels nourished when its first dyed. Its a great feeling better that the dry flaky hair I had.
The only products I use on my hair is argan oil , thats if my hair is frizzy. 1 pump on the ends make my hair lovely and smooth.
